After high school, Tupac attended a community college for two years before moving to California where he began rapping professionally and took acting classes at The Actors’ Gang playhouse in Los Angeles, California.
Tupac’s first album “2Pacalypse Now” was released after which he went on tour with The Digital Underground to promote the album; however, while on tour he was robbed at gunpoint by some gang members who stole his jewelry worth approximately $40,000 dollars! This caused him great pain; however, instead of dwelling on it he decided to focus on writing songs about social issues such as racism and poverty which would later become known as his “Thug Life” phase (which is still popular today).
